I work at the Taronga Wildlife Hospital.

Corroboree Frog

In the battle to save the Southern Corroboree Frog, Taronga Zoo for the first time successfully bred the species for reintroduction in to the wild.

The Southern Corroboree Frog is Critically Endangered with fewer than 150 left in the Kosciusko highlands.

I work with all species within the zoo and also the native wildlife brought to the Wildlife Hospital.

Greater Glider

A very special patient, a Greater Glider, was treated at Taronga’s Wildlife Hospital after sustaining horrific injuries from barbed wire fencing.

What animals do you work with?

Zebra Move

The new male zebra has settled into Taronga Zoo. Zebra keeper Adam said that “the two boys get along great and the new, younger male is starting to challenge the adult male for his position, as expected”.

Taronga Zebra Shani moved from Taronga to Werribee as part of a regional breeding program for the species.

Series 4 Episode 7

A team from Taronga Zoo travel to the Snowy Mountains to find Corroboree Frog eggs that they hope will help save the species, while back in Sydney staff await the arrival of a new Zebra and at the same time have to say goodbye to an old friend.

Series 4 Episode 6

A Black Rhino calf is born at Taronga Western Plains Zoo as staff at Taronga’s Wildlife hospital work to save two orphaned Powerful Owl chicks. A seal undergoes cataract surgery at Sea World while Adelaide Zoo awaits the arrival of some very special Giant Pandas.

Powerful Owl Chicks

After a couple of months of rehabilitation at Taronga’s Wildlife Hospital the Powerful Owls had put on enough weight and were confident in flying, so it was time for them to return to suburbia.

The owls were taken to Bayview golf course where they were found, local residents knew that a tree with a large hollow in it was their nest and had sighted the parents the night before.
