In the battle to save the Southern Corroboree Frog, Taronga Zoo for the first time successfully bred the species for reintroduction in to the wild.
The Southern Corroboree Frog is Critically Endangered with fewer than 150 left in the Kosciusko highlands.
A team from Taronga Zoo travel to the Snowy Mountains to find Corroboree Frog eggs that they hope will help save the species, while back in Sydney staff await the arrival of a new Zebra and at the same time have to say goodbye to an old friend.
I work in the Herpetofauna division working with the zoo's reptile and amphibian collection.
I have been at Taronga Zoo in the Herpetofauna department for over 6 years.
