Four Cheetah cubs have recently been born in Dubbo, and two of them are extra special. Plus, Taronga's chimp family moves house.

Chimp Move

Since the big move all chimpanzees have settled in to their new home and, are still enjoying exploring their new environment. Lubutu, affectionately known to the keepers as ‘Boots’ is still occupying the role of alpha male and, is spending a lot more time with Chimbuka the up and coming male.

Langur Birth

'Elke', the young Francois Langur baby which has been hand-reared by dedicated zoo keepers is thriving at Taronga Zoo and has begun to explore the outside world.

At two and a half months of age, the young leaf-eating monkey has graduated from the nursery and started to take her first steps out into the tropical rainforest Francois Langur exhibit for short periods throughout the day.
