What animals do you work with?

Hippo, Giraffe, Zebra, Bongo, Tapir, Ostrich

How long have you been working as a zookeeper?

I have been a keeper at TZ for 11 years and a keeper for four years before coming to TZ

How did you get into zoo keeping as a profession?

I started out of school as a dog trainer, then trained animals for the film and TV industry, then worked as a keeper at Waratah Wildlife Park becoming manager before obtaining a position here at TZ on Australian Mammals

What do you love most about your job?

The interaction with the animals

What has been the wildest moment of your career so far?

Breeding the first-ever platypus hatched here at TZ

Animal update- (how is the animal that the story is about going now)

He is fine, interacting well with the other zebra and starting to find his feed and challenge the adult male for his position, as expected.
