What animals do you work with?

I am a keeper of Rhino and Giraffe (large African hoof stock) and am a coordinator of Conservation project in Northern Kenya at Werribee Zoo.

How long have you been working as a zookeeper/vet nurse?

I have worked with Werribee Zoo for 16 years

How did you get into zoo keeping/vet nursing as a profession?

I grew up in Johannesburg in South Africa, which is where my passion for African wildlife began. I Have worked on and off in Southern Africa. I love being it at Werribee Zoo because it is like Africa on Melbourne's doorstep! My qualifications are BSC Zoology, MSC International and Community Development, Grad cert in zoo keeping

What do you love most about your job?

It is never dull, and I love working with animals and in conservation, making a difference!
